SRI data: Initial vs. 3 year aged

Which data should be entered for SRI compliance. We have a dispute over a submittal for a cap sheet that was rejected due to the product data stating a 3 year aged SRI of 74. The "initial" SRI is 93, however the submittal was rejected nonetheless and now the contractor is asking why. Can someone please clarify which data should be used? Thanks!

Hi Erin:

In my experience, workink in the current version of LEED (v3 and also some projects in v2 and 2.2) we have always presented initial SRI values for credits SS c7.1 and SS c7.2. Did you introduced 3 years aged SRI in the submittal template (emittance and reflectance percentages)?, Did you have green roof?, because may be that was the problem, remember that for SS c7.2 you have different options of achievement and one of them (option 3) is weighted calculation for compliance. I will surely review the credit's template and present only initial SRI.

For LEED v4, 3 years aged SRI must be presented if the information is available, if not, just initial SRI, so this makes me think that if LEED v4 has this flexibility is very strange what happended to you in v3.

Good luck
