LEED Project Experience

Hello,

Does one need to provide a proof for LEED Project Experience in order to take the new LEED V4 AP BD+C Exam? Does the Greenstep virtual project experience program meet these requirements?

Hi Abhijeet. I just read at USGBC website that exams for LEED AP with specialty no longer require a proof of project experience but the project experience will be tested in the exam. Please check the following link http://www.usgbc.org/articles/talking-eligibility-what-does-it-take-be-leed-professional. However, I think even if they do not need a proof, project experience is a must for LEED AP with specialty especially that we are going to be tested on it.

Hi Abhijeet, as Sanaa said, the new LEED AP exams for v4 are gauging experience working with LEED projects through the exam itself. There is no project experience requirement for LEED Green Associate exam takers.

If you are a LEED Green Associate and preparing for the LEED AP exam you can get project experience for the LEED AP exam (while also fulfilling some or all of their 15 LEED Continuing Education credits) by working on a range of LEED project credits on an actual project. It's an efficient and effective way to learn.
