If you’re reading this, you’re likely a part of the majority that is already on the climate change bandwagon.

As a LEED or green building professional, you’re interested in driving positive environmental change and well aware of the harsh damages our energy consumption is causing. If this is indeed you, you’ll likely be over the moon for Conservation International’s (CI) new campaign to spark dialogue and catalyze change in regard to the way we treat the world.

Launching on October 6, #NatureisSpeaking is an innovative, omni-channel movement to rally individuals around the world toward greater environmental respect, touting “Nature doesn’t need people. People need nature.” You can read the full humanifesto here.

On Twitter, CI has created a variety of handles to represent six different aspects of the earth, including The Rainforest, The Soil, and The Ocean. Each handle offers a unique Soundcloud representing its entity via its original tweet and each will continue to tweet as its own environmental pillar.

That said, the dialogue both by the CI-sponsored handles and the public is universally linked through the promoted hashtag of #NatureisSpeaking.

What’s more, as announced at the UN Social Good Summit by Conservation International Executive Vice-President and Senior Scientist M. Sanjayan and actor/activist Ed Nortion, CI will be releasing a series of short celebrity-narrated documentaries for each of these environmental pillars as well.

“We continue to ignore an unsustainable relationship with the planet at our peril,” Norton told the crowd after offering a short sneak peek at the documentary short he narrates on soil.
