Registering a LEED Exam Date and Preparation Materials

I am not able to see the exam dates for LEED GA exam online. I think I can only see it after registering for exam. So I have few queries to those who have already taken the exam.

1. when I go tp Prometric center online, can I choose any date I want or are there only a few dates allotted for LEED GA exam.

2. If dates are allotted then how many options are there per month? And how many days before the exam do we have to register for it? I mean its okay If I register a week before the exam?

Now about LEED preparation materials -

Is it enought if I study from USGBC study guides and core concepts.? What else should I go through before exam.?

Thanks a lot in advance for your comments and reply. :)

Hi Suchita, you're right... You will need to register for the exam through GBCI/USGBC.org before you can choose the date for your exam. However, once you register for your exam you will choose an exam location and then can choose any date that is available in your area to take the exam.

The exams are offered on any day when a computer terminal is free at your local testing center. You should be able to register to take an exam within a week if you want. Just find the testing center nearest you by going here: https://www.prometric.com/en-us/clients/gbci/Pages/landing.aspx and clicking "Locate a Test Center".
Then choose a date and time.

If you haven't already, you should read through this article on the new LEED v4 Green Associate exam for strategies on preparation. We always recommend using LEED Green Associate practice tests in any study plan. You can try a free one here.
