LEED Green Associate

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to you regarding the LEED Green Associate Test that I am highly interested to take very soon, the only problem is that I am overwhelmed with all the information providded in the different website that explain how to prepare for this test.

My main question is that when i opened your website I found different products, with different prices like: Leed GA v4 Practice Exams, Study Guide, Silver bundle, Gold bundle, Super study pack and so on... Honestly this makes me confused, which one should i purchase, and which is better for me to pass the tset, should i buy one that is enough to include all the info or should I get 2 of them or even more...

I really don't understand where do I get the material to study or what is my start point to prepare. I will really appreciate if anyone could guide me through this process.

Hi Anjel, thanks for your question. I understand that it's confusing trying to decide what materials might be best to prepare for the exam.

A Minimum of Study Guide and Practice Tests

My recommendation to anyone starting out is to use a BARE MINIMUM of study guide and practice tests.

We offer a condensed study guide, which is more helpful than one that covers the world of green building and LEED. The LEED Green Associate exam questions come from multiple sources, but studying everything within all of these resources is very inefficient and stressful.

You shouldn't be stressed, you should just memorize the information on the exam and use practice tests to get comfortable with the questions. Your first job is just to pass the exam... Once that's behind you, you can learn everything else about green building and LEED that you want.

Overload Approach

When I was preparing for my first LEED exam (LEED AP back in 2009), I used a LOT of different types of study tools.

I was stressed out about passing the LEED exam because I hadn't taken a standardized test since my GMAT in 1996. But I knew I really wanted to learn about LEED and get into this industry.

I researched all the various study tools that I could find I figured it was best to try them all. I figured as long as the material was focused on the same content, the more ways I studied, the better off I'd be.

In the end my "better safe than sorry" overload approach was a good move and I ended up scoring a 95% on the LEED AP Commercial Interiors exam. I used the same approach again with the LEED Green Associate exam and scored a 98%.

This is why we offer bundled packages like the ones you mentioned with different types of tools in one package at a discount. You can choose practice tests, study guide, MP3s, video training, flashcards, etc. separately or overload yourself by trying all of them. I found that using MP3s while I was out for a run or driving in my car was very helpful in terms of memorization, but everyone's different.

In the end, I'd definitely recommend using a study guide and practice tests at a minimum, though. The Poplar Silver study bundle includes these items for $20.00 less than buying them together.
