Hi Alex,
In your project practice part 2, green power. There are two confusions--
1, the minimum contract for green power is 5 years. It is stated in the study guide. But in the video and the additional study material, it says 2 years. Would you please clarify?
2, If the total percentage of green power addressed 100% would earn 2 credits for the project team. Why the percentage for gaining the exempary credit is 70% (said in the video)?
Looking forward to your reply.
Many thanks,
Queena
Hi Queena, thanks for your email.
There are slight differences between LEED 2009 and LEED v4 for the "Green Power and Carbon Offsets" credit.... in LEED 2009, this credit was also called simply "Green Power".
The GreenStep LEED v4 BD+C study guide you are referring to is for LEED v4 BD+C. However, the project is a LEED 2009 project.
In LEED 2009, the Green Power credit had a minimum contract requirement of 2 years. In LEED v4 it is 5 years.
In LEED 2009, the Green Power exemplary performance threshold was 70% for 2 points, but for LEED v4 the threshold has been increased to 100% for 2 points.
