Green builders can attend these conferences in 2013, either to learn about sustainable construction or to market their building products to their target market.

Building and construction conferences are a great opportunity for members of the green building industry to network and learn about sustainable building technologies and practices. Expos allow companies that offer eco-friendly building products or sustainable building services to market directly to their target market.

Check out these 10 conferences with a green building or clean energy theme in 2013:

Greenbuild 2013

Hosted by the US Green Building Council, Greenbuild is the world's largest green building conference and expo.

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Date: November 20th - 22nd, 2013
Attendance: Over 25,000 attendees and 1,000 exhibitors
Price: Prices for 2013 are TBA, but in 2012, full conference attendance was $600 (early) or $700 (late) for USGBC members and $800 (early) or $1,000 (late) for non-members. One day passes, expo only passes, or entrance to other events were cheaper. Fees for a 10' x 10' booth at the expo were $3,400 for USGBC members and $4,100 for non-members.

GlobalCon Conference and Expo

The Association of Energy Engineers will host the 24th annual GlobalCon, which features the latest developments in the energy, power, and facilities management strategies and technologies. Learn more here.

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Date: March 6th - 7th, 2013
Attendance: The 2011 conference had over 3,400 attendees and 240 booths
Price: The regular registration fee (includes expo) is $895, or $795 for non-profits, government and AEE members. To host a boost at the expo, it costs $2,600 per 10' x 10' space.

11th Annual New York State Green Building Conference

Syracuse University's well-known College of Environmental Science and Forestry is hosting their green building conference in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council New York Upstate Chapter and the Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems. Location: Syracuse, New York
Date: March 11th - 12th, 2013
Attendance: Several thousand
Price: The registration fees range from $15-305 depending on whether the attendee is a student or professional, and whether the attendee would like to participate in the workshop, reception and/or conference. The fees are lower for earlier registration dates. Booth exhibitors will pay $750 for an 8' x 10' booth, while tabletop exhibitors pay $500.

BuildEnergy 2013 Conference

The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) hosts BuildEnergy, a conference focused on the cross-section of renewable energy and high performance building. Learn more at the conference website.

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Date: March 5th - 7th, 2013
Attendance: In 2012, there were 4,000 professionals from 31 states and 14 countries
Price: Conference registration is $599 for two days and $399 for one day, though prices go up after March 5th.

Energy Innovation Summit

U.S. Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy's conference, which focuses on breakthrough energy technologies, is in it's 4th year. Notable speakers include Mayor Bloomberg, former Energy Secretary Steven Chu, Elon Musk, and T. Boone Pickens. Learn more here.

Date: February 25th - 27th, 2013
Attendance: 2,700 attendees from 49 states and 27 countries
Price: Registration fees are $1645 for industry members, $795 for academic and early stage startup members, and $595 for U.S. government attendees.

Southeast Building Conference

This conference is the only building industry trade show that caters specifically to the Southeast United States. It is geared toward home building pros from AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, TX, VA and the Eastern Carribean. Learn more here.

Date: July 11th - 13th, 2013
Attendance: 3,500
Price: Attendees can pay $10 to attend the expo, $69 for a one day pass, $99 for a two day pass and $149 for a three day pass.10' x 10' booths range from $1,275 to $2,500, depending on the location in the expo hall.

Atlantic Builders Convention

The Atlantic Builders Convention is the New Jersey Builders Association's builder trade show, which is the largest of its kind in the Northeast. It draws builders, contractors, and remodelers from NJ, CT, DE, MD, NY, PA and VA. Learn more here.

Date: April 10th - 11th, 2013
Attendance: 6,500
Price: Registration is $90 for full registration, $50 for one day registration, and $25 for the exhibit area only. It's cheaper for NAHB members, and more expensive after March 1st. Exhibitors can pay anywhere from $1,400 to $2,525 for a 10' x 10' booth, depending on its location and the date of registration.

Construction SuperConference 2013

Produced by the Vendome Group, this conference caters to construction owners, counsel and construction attorneys. Learn more here.

Location: San Francisco, California
Date: December 11th - 13th, 2013
Attendance: Over 500 construction professionals
Price: Past attendees can pay $1,275 to $1,645 for full attendance, depending on registration date, and new attendees can pay $1,495 to $1,750, depending on registration date. Registration for single days or the exhibit hall only are cheaper. Companies can exhibit in the "Knowledge Exchange" for $4,000 for an 8' x 10' booth or $3,500 for a 2' x 6' tabletop.
