LEED-Specific CEUs

Hi Jeffrey, thanks for your question. You can complete your 6, or 12, as the case may be, LEED specific hours for free by writing articles on LEED specific topics for both of those rating systems and submitting them to us for publication. Each article is worth 3 CEUs. Once published each article is submitted to GBCI for LEED specific approval. The number of LEED specific articles you can submit is unlimited.

We have worked with USGBC since 2011 to offer this as a free path for LEED credentialed people. I'm always surprised that more people don't take advantage of this option... especially in a world increasingly reliant on the Internet for information. If you have a blog or run a website for your business, the articles can help increase awareness of your practice.

Because you're sharing your perspective on something you're providing others who are learning and curious with an opportunity to connect with you while gaining an understanding of LEED. Writing is also an excellent way to organize your thoughts about a topic or a LEED/green building project you may be working on.
