Dear all,
Has anyone successfully achieved Innovation in Design (ID) credit by applying environmental friendly exterior paints and/or sealants? Or has anyone considered and researched on this? Our project is thinking of this strategy. I will really appreciate if you could share some information or thoughts with me. Thank you very much in advance!
Best regards,
Doris
Doris Hi!
It does not seem possible to me, to get an ID point just by using environmentally friendly paints and/or sealants on the project's exterior area. If not an Exemplary Performance, for ID credits you must demonstrate that strategies not included within LEED certification scope were carried out and quantify the benefits or use a credit from other LEED Rating System, so I would think about implementing EBO&M SS c2 credit which among other requirements ( considers the utilization of eco friendly paints/adhesives/sealants. You can fid more information in Leeduser and in EBO&M Reference Guide.
