Perovskite in manufacturing as a solar PV material

Perovskite is a promising new mineral that is low cost, abundant and more efficient than silicon as a material for use in solar photovoltaics. More details on recent developments with perovskite here. Does anyone know where perovskite is sourced (geographically) for manufacturing solar PV panels?
