Hi Emily, thanks for your question. Are you using these LEED GA practice tests? Which out of the seven numbered tests are you scoring 90+ on? The tests become more difficult from 1 - 7. If you are scoring above 90 consistently on all the tests then that's a good sign. I would definitely use a study guide as well. If you are preparing for the LEED GA exam, it's not necessary (probably a bad strategy) to use the reference guides as a tool. The vast majority of the material on the LEED GA exam comes from the BD+C rating system, New Construction emphasis. There are typically a smattering of questions referencing EBOM, ID+C and Homes.

Get a good study guide, one that is focused, reputable and concise, and memorize that material. Unfortunately, there is no short cut to passing the LEED GA. You'll need to memorize all of the information in the study guide, such as all the MPRs, the intents and strategies for the most of the credits in the BD+C, CIRs, water efficiency-related flow rates, all the important standards (eg. ASHRAE, GreenSeal, CBECS, SMACNA, CISBE, etc. etc.), everything related to refrigerant management (i.e. which refrigerants are the worst in terms of GWP, ODP, etc. and the Montreal Protocol), all Exemplary Performance (EP) thresholds, potential conflicts and/or synergies between credits and credit categories, important definitions (such as SRI, emittance, emissivity, albedo, etc.), all of the 21 basic services in Community Connectivity, the meaning of post-consumer and pre-consumer content and examples of each, all the rules and scenarios related to Regional Materials, acceptable types of renewable energy, definitions of all the boundaries, etc... This is just an example of some of the things that should be memorized before taking the exam.
