I am a recent graduate from the University of California at Santa Cruz with B.A. degree in Environmental Studies. While attending university I obtained working experience via interning at The Greenstation, a bio diesel/electric car fueling station and Allterra Environmental, a local Solar consultant. My senior internship project with the IDEASS program, which included my thesis, involved performing a solar feasibility study for the universities off campus facility. The knowledge and skills obtained from internships and coursework has prompted my interest in the field of sustainable development; primarily in the area of green building design/eco cities, industrial design and/or sustainable transport (i.e. electric vehicles).
My current goal being a recent graduate is to gain experience via working for a company geared towards re-imagining the built environment, via fostering green innovation. I would like to be part of a community that contributes to creating healthy, functional, nature-integrated environments from traditional urban layouts. Making towns and cities economically and ecologically sustainable without compromising their character. I am very personable, adaptable, solution-oriented individual. My leadership and planning roles have provided me with a valuable skill set in positive relationship building among relevant stakeholders. I am currently searching for full or part time position where my educational background can be properly applied, while concurrently gather new skill sets in the process.
