LEED Charrette

7 LEED BD+C Specific CEUs in approximately 1 hour.

The LEED Charrette process is critical to the success of any LEED project as it helps establish the approach for every LEED Credit the project plans to pursue, while addressing possible changes in design along the way.

Often times during the beginning of a project, revisions to the design can affect the approach to certain LEED credits, which can jeopardize or improve the possibility for credit achievement.

You will be evaluating how seemingly simple changes in the design of our site (replacing landscaping with concrete pavement) will affect various LEED credits including:

• Protect or Restore Habitat
• Maximize Open Space
• Stormwater Quantity
• Stormwater Quality
• Heat Island, Non-roof
• Water Efficient Landscaping
• Low Emitting Materials

Ultimately, you’ll be reviewing the credit language from the Reference Guide summaries provided to determine if our design changes have a positive, negative or neutral impact to the Credits we’re looking to pursue.
