What does "Assign to a Friend" mean in the "My Enrolled Courses" section of my Poplar Education account?

Poplar Network members may share their courses, or certain parts of courses, with other Poplar Network members. For instance, if you purchased a LEED Green Associate "Super Study Pack", you could share your practice tests with a friend who is also a Poplar Network member for free. You may "Assign" a particular course or part of a course to a friend only once. The recipient is not able to re-assign the course to other Poplar Network members.

You can submit an unlimited number of hours in the form of self-reported courses, LEED project work, and authorship.

To report your CE hours, you would want to log into your account on USGBC.org here or here and click "Report CMP activity."

How do I report LEED authorship

If you are having trouble logging in with your email address, please use the beginning part of your email address as your username.

For example if your email is john123@gmail.com, use "john123" as your username.

Our goal is to make our Study Materials as error-free and user-friendly as possible. We welcome your feedback regarding potential errors that you identify in our products.

We need the following information so that we may look into any potential error:

  • Product name (e.g. LEED Green Associate practice test #2, or GreenStep LEED AP v4 BD+C exam B)
  • Screenshot or exact language that you believe includes the error copied/pasted. For example if it is an exam question, provide a screenshot of the question and answer options, or a complete copy of the questions and potential answers.
  • A description of why you believe is the language or information is incorrect

We appreciate your comments regarding all aspects of our products, including corrections to formatting, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Each comment is considered and many are incorporated into the next versions of our study materials. Please note that we may be unable to personally respond to all feedback in this category.

To report a free continuing education course, you may submit your continuing education via self-reporting to GBCI/USGBC.

Poplar's free courses are not yet approved by GBCI for LEED specific hours, but you may submit them for non-LEED specific hours.

You can submit an unlimited number of hours in the form of self-reported courses, LEED project work, and authorship.

To report your CE hours, you would want to log into your account on USGBC.org here or here and click "Report CMP activity."

As such, we do not believe that there exists today a sufficient and practical cyber security technology that could reasonably ensure our users against some sort of hacker, cyber risk, or online data exposure, known or unknown.

For this reason, we also ask that you DO NOT provide any information on Poplar Network that you would not otherwise share online publicly elsewhere online. We cannot, and do not, guaranty it's safety.

Yes. The two day LEED v4 Green Associate in person training courses include 14 AIA Health Safety and Wellfare (HSW) continuing education units.

With LEED v4, GBCI has done away with the prerequisite for documenting LEED project experience through the form of a Letter of Attestation from a project team leader.

The new LEED v4 exams gauge understanding of LEED project work/project experience from within the exam itself.

For this reason, GBCI/USGBC still emphasizes that LEED project experience is strongly recommended for taking the LEED AP exam.

All of Poplar/GreenStep's LEED v4 AP exam preparation materials include LEED project experience with Alex Spilger.

For either the GreenStep Virtual or Live LEED Professional Project Experience programs, please follow the instructions in this presentation to submit your experience for Continuing Education credits with GBCI.

Thank you for your interest in the Poplar and GreenStep LEED training materials. We will be rolling out our LEED Green Associate and LEED AP training incrementally over the next few months. The expectation is that all of our materials (practice tests, study guide, flashcards, video training and memorization tools) will be ready for release, or have been released, by late summer/early Fall of 2014.

Our materials will be released in the following sequence LEED Green Associate, BD+C, O+M, ID+C. We apologize, but we do not have plans to release exam material for the LEED AP Homes or Neighborhood Development exams at the moment.

The new exams were released on June 30th, 2014. Since that date we have published our practice questions and the study guide for the LEED Green Associate v4 exam. We will continue to test and retest on the new material by getting exposure to the actual exams. If you have some flexibility in your schedule, we would recommend waiting until August 2014 to schedule your exam to have time to prepare whether you use our materials or another company's.

Our advice to customers who are preparing for their LEED v4 exams is to be wary of spending money with any companies that offer LEED AP preparation materials before or soon after the new exams are released. We even know of companies that released their LEED v4 materials before June 2014!

Ask yourself -- how can any exam preparation company can in good faith release exam preparation material when they have no exposure or experience to the actual exams themselves...? We believe "they shouldn't" is the answer.

Our LEED CE and LEED project experience materials are applicable to both LEED v4 and LEED 2009 and can be purchased today. If you have any questions, please contact us below.

Poplar is the perfect place to show off your sustainability experience and skills, choose from over 75 green building design and construction professions. For instance, if you are a LEED Consultant, you can easily add yourself to our "Find a LEED Consultant" page where people can read about your skills and experience and contact you.

To add yourself to the directory, simply hover your mouse pointer over "My Account" in the top right hand corner of your screen and choose "Edit Profile". Then choose your profession from the "Profession" dropdown menu in your Poplar profile. For instance, if you are a LEED consultant, click the Profession dropdown menu and choose "LEED Consultant". Then click the green "Finish and Save" button at the bottom of the page.

Did you know you can also display professional credential logos to your profile? See Claire's example. To do this, simply hover your mouse pointer over "My Account" in the top right hand corner of your screen and choose "Edit Profile". You will see four tabs at the top of the page. Choose "Credentials (optional)" and check the boxes for which credentials you hold. You can display up to two.

If you are not a member of Poplar Network, simply create a free account, complete your profile and make sure you have included your profession.

Instructions for printing flashcards:

Every printer and printer setup is different... So it’s a good idea to test your setup by printing a few pages before printing all of the flashcards at once.

The flashcards are designed to be printed double sided, so that the odd numbered pages are on one side of a sheet and the even numbered pages are on the other side of a sheet.

Example: On page 1, the question in the bottom left “What is the meaning of Evapotranspiration?” has its corresponding answer “Evapotranspiration is...” on the bottom right of page 2.

Print Flashcards Orientation.png

Automatic Duplex Printing:
Printers with automatic duplex printing should be able to print the flashcards correctly without any manual changes by you.

Non-Duplex Printing:
We recommend printing the odd numbered pages first, then flip the pages over so that they are oriented correctly and print the even numbered pages.
